ICH MedDRA Management Board

The International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA) is the Trustee of the International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) Steering Committee for the purpose of holding the intellectual property rights (ownership) of MedDRA.  The ICH selected Northrop Grumman as the MedDRA Maintenance and Support Services Organization (MSSO). The activities of the MSSO are overseen by a Management Board composed of the following organizations:

• European Union (EU)
• European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA)
• Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW)
• Japanese Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA)
• US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
• Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA)
• Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) of the UK
• Health Canada
• World Health Organization
• International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA)

The IFPMA chairs the MedDRA Management Board and owns MedDRA on behalf of the ICH.

The MedDRA Management Board and the MSSO meet regularly to discuss MedDRA initiatives, subscription rates, and MSSO services to subscribers.
