Submitting Change Requests

WebCR is an on-line tool used for submitting change requests to the MSSO. WebCR supports all change requests categories: MedDRA changes, SMQ changes and Translation corrections. In addition to submitting requests, WebCR provides the following features:

  • Verify if an English term exists in MedDRA
  • Review when an English term was added to MedDRA
  • Search the history of all change requests considered by the MSSO since MedDRA v5.1
  • Resubmit a rejected request for reconsideration
  • Track the progress of submitted requests
  • Hold proposed change requests and submit them when ready.

See the WebCR Quick Reference guide for getting started with using Web CR.

The MSSO will continue to accept your change requests via the change request forms. There is a separate form for each change request category: MedDRA changes, SMQ changes, and Translation corrections.

Note: A proposal for a new SMQ constitutes a single request. Multiple requests are not necessary. When requesting new SMQs using the SMQ change request form, please include answers to these questions in the justification field.

For Japanese translation corrections, please contact the Japanese Maintenance Organization.

If choosing to use the forms, please email completed forms to:  mssorequest@mssotools.com, or fax them to: +1 703.272.5635. Should you have questions, please contact our help desk at mssohelp@mssotools.com, or +1 877.258.8280.
