MedDRA User Group Meetings

The objective of the User Group meetings is to achieve effective two-way communication concerning the use of MedDRA, provide a forum for the exchange of best practices and lessons learned, provide feedback on the quality and effectiveness of MSSO services, and identify new services that might be necessary or helpful to subscribers. In addition, the User Group meetings provide an opportunity for individuals to network with other professionals in the pharmacovigilance community.

The MSSO holds two User Group meetings per year--one in Europe, and one in the United States. The MedDRA Japanese Maintenance Organization (JMO) holds the JMO User Group Meeting in Japan. For detailed information, please contact the JMO at helpdesk.jmo@pmrj.jp.

European Informal MedDRA User Group Webinar

18 January 2012 Meeting Recording

The next meeting of the European Informal MedDRA User Group will be a webinar held on Wednesday 18 January 2012. The theme of this meeting will be “MedDRA Searching and Browsing, Autoencoding and Synonym List Set Up and Maintenance” and will include the following topics:

•   MedDRA searching and browsing strategies

•   Synonym list set-up and maintenance

•   Auto-encoding and auto-encoding algorithms

•   Question and Answer Session

The webinar is scheduled from 1400 – 1530 hrs Central European Time (0800 – 0930 hrs US Eastern Time). The meeting is open to all MedDRA subscribers free of charge on a “first come – first served” basis.
