Modified Term Review

At the direction of the MedDRA MSSO Management Board, the MSSO will begin conducting a review of the modified terms currently in the terminology. The initial modified terms selected by the Management Board are: Aggravated, Exacerbated, and Worsened/Worsening. These terms will be reviewed for appropriateness of being represented at the PT level as a single medical concept. The results of this review will be posted on the website at the beginning of November and will be implemented shortly after as part of the MedDRA 6.0 release in March 2003. Additional modified terms will be reviewed in a like manner as time permits on an ongoing basis.
