Currently, the MSSO maintains Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish with each release of MedDRA. The MSSO has implemented the following policy:   When a MedDRA LLT term cannot be uniquely translated, the translation will be duplicated but only when associated with the same PT. In other words, duplicate translations can occur for some LLTs (e.g., oedema and edema) but the duplicated translations must be associated with the same PT. There will be no duplicate translations at or above the PT level of MedDRA.
